Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty born October 1st, 1995, in Berkeley California USA. Her work as an actress is known for Choices (2010, The Heart and Other Small Shapes, 2006) and Chrissie Mair's Content House 2022.
Asia Argento, born in Rome to a family which includes directors and actors, also pursued these careers. The Church, directed by Michele Soavi, was her first role. In the following year, she appeared as Nanni Moretti's daughter Red Wood Pigeon It was when she starred in Close Friends written and directed by Michele Placido, that Asia's career really took off and she was able to move on from playing very young girls, to larger, more sophisticated roles. It was well received in the Cannes International Film Festival. Her father was in the film for the the first time Trauma an award-winning film by Italian horror director Dario Argento. Her mother, Daria Nicoleli, is Argento's favourite actress, and she was the anorexic looking to find the murderer of her parents. Asia has collaborated with Dario Argento on three films, Trauma, The Stendhal Syndrome, and The Phantom of the Opera. In Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato nozze, Asia's absorption manner of character acting was utilized well. The role she played as Arianna in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista, a physically-disabled girl, was an arduous and intricate role, which brought she the David di Donatello award as the most outstanding actress. She had a feature performance as Queen Margot, directed by Patrice Cereau. In 1995 she worked alongside Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio. This collaboration earned her the David di Donatello prize and the Grolla oro. Asia began directing in 1994. She released two shorts as well as an episode of the movie De Generazione. In 1996 she made a documentary about her father, and AbelAsia, a film on the famous film maker Abel Ferrara. In 1998, Asia directed AbelAsia, that was honoured by the Rome Film Festival. In 1999 Asia made her feature-directing debut by directing Scarlet Diva where she was the leading actor and wrote the screenplay. The movie was released on May 20th, 2000 in Italy as well as several other nations. It won an award in the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York.
